This year, our team was honoured to be chosen as finalists for THREE categories at the prestigious 2024 Altitude Awards:
- Team of the Year
- Charity Champion
- Impact Award – Social and Community.
If that wasn’t exciting enough, our very own CEO, Deborah Shepherd, was also a finalist for the Pioneering Achievement Award – a well-deserved acknowledgement of her inspiring leadership and vision.
On Saturday 30 November, our team had the privilege of attending the Altitude Awards, a magical evening dedicated to celebrating the achievements of local people and organisations making a difference in our community.
To our absolute delight, we were proudly awarded the Charity Champion Award!
This recognition reflects the tireless passion, hard work, and strong dedication of our entire team. It was an incredible honour to be standing alongside so many inspiring individuals and organisations who share a commitment to creating positive change.
As the Charity Recipient for the event, we were also deeply moved by the generosity of the Women with Altitude community. Thanks to everyone who attended and supported the fundraiser, we raised an amazing $1,645 to continue providing affordable cancer care to those in need.
A heartfelt thank you to the generous organisations that contributed to the raffle prizes, including:
- Scenic World Blue Mountains
- Josophan’s – Fine Chocolates
- iKOU
- Wild Hibiscus Flower Company.
Of course, our immense gratitude goes to the major sponsors who made the evening possible:
- Judge Accountants
- Commonwealth Bank
- Elizabeth Elenor – The Ascendance Code
A special thank you also goes to Andrea Turner-Boys and the Women with Altitude team for recognising our work and providing a platform to showcase the power of community-driven impact.
Most of all, we would like to acknowledge and thank the Cancer Wellness Support community of therapists, volunteers, supporters, and team members who make everything we do possible. As we stood on that stage, we felt your love and energy surrounding us. This is a victory for all of us.
